The dry season traditionally held throughout the months of November through April. The best thing about the dry season is the large numbers of animals that are visible during this time of year. Expect to witness a large number of migratory birds like the American white pelican, Franklin’s gull and the swallow-tailed kite as well as a number of happy, sunning reptiles like American alligators! This period of time is characterized by a lack of rain and a bounty of sunshine and mild Florida temperatures. In comparison, the wet season allows our guests to experience the wet and wild side of our area. During the wet season, Fort Myers Beach hosts stunningly humid temperatures with plenty of rain that all our native wildlife enjoy and thrive in. Trust us, the wet season which takes place during the months of May through October truly brings the tropics to Southwest Florida and Fort Myers Beach. It is during this time that some of the most show stopping sunsets of the year occur. Plus, because our area’s “off-season” occurs during this time, guests that join us during the wet season enjoy smaller crowds and more intimate cruise experiences.
