The online booking form won't load. What do I do?

Please check your security settings on your PC or mobile device. If you have blocked cookies or have other security settings on, that may prevent you from being able to use our online system. Make sure you have an internet connection. Or try a different server like Google chrome. If it continues to give you problems you are more than welcome to call and book on the phone. 239-218-8014

Do we need to make reservations?

Pleeeaaase make reservations at least 2 days in advance. We beg this of you. We can not plan the party if we do not know if anyone is coming. Our tours also have a minimum of 6 paying passengers to go, and if no one has signed up for a tour then we cancel its availability. If you make reservations in advance then that prevents us from canceling a tour unnecessarily. On the other hand, during our busy season of March through July, we tend to fill up and having a reservation guarantees you a tour. We also do private parties, fund raiser functions, special events, and we also close for one day a month for oil change and routine engine maintenance. Having a reservation prevents you from showing up when we do not have a tour available because of one of those events. Feel free to call last minute or stop by for a tour but please understand that we may not have a tour available for you.

How soon should we make reservations?

It is really never too early but if you prefer not to plan too far in advance this is what we recommend:

  • For the “Coastal Sealife, Dolphin and Shelling Cruise” from February to May – 1 week in advance at least. For the rest of the year – 3 days in advance.
  • For the afternoon dolphin cruise – 2 days in advance.
  • For the Sunset cruise from February to May – 4 days in advance, and for the rest of the year – 2 days in advance.
  • All private charters from November to May – 1 month in advance, and for the rest of the year, 2 weeks in advance.

These are just guidelines and do not come with guarantees. Please by all means, call us last minute for a tour, it is not uncommon for us to get last minute cancellations. Please do not be disappointed if you show up without a reservation and we are unable to accommodate you. Making advance reservations also helps us meet our minimum of 6 for the tours during our slower months (August thru February).

Is there a bathroom on board?

Yes, there is. Just ask your crew if you need to access it. Our tour boat also has plenty of shade & comfortable seating.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice may result in a 100% penalty.

What should we bring for our cruise?

Feel free to bring snacks and beverages on any of our trips, and don’t forget sunblock! Even though most of the tour boat is shaded, depending on the tour you choose, you will get some sun.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We will cancel a tour due to heavy rain, lightening, unsafe weather, etc. The area that we conduct our tours in is very protected water and we only enter the Gulf if it is calm. So if the water looks rough from your balcony, please keep in mind that is probably not what it looks like where we will be going for the cruise. There is a chance for rain nearly everyday of the year and our weather forecasts are often wrong, so please try not to let the forecast dictate how you plan your activities. In the Summer months, rain showers can materialize while we are out and we do our best to keep everyone comfortable as the rain passes. We will call you if the radar indicates unsafe conditions for your tour and hope to postpone/ or reschedule if possible and those calls are made the day of the scheduled tour. Paddling tours will be canceled due to high winds. If we cancel a trip for any reason, there is no charge.

Can we request a specific captain for our cruise/tour?

Sure! We know many of our return customers have a favorite guide/captain, so please feel free to ask when your favorite guide/captain is working to reserve to go on their tour.

What kind of boat is it?

We cruise on a very stable 38′ power catamaran named Phoenix. She has a great story and is our “rising from the ashes” boat from losing vessel Good Times to a fire in 2013. She has a bimini top for shade or partial shade, a bathroom on board, and bench style seating. She is Coast Guard inspected and certified, and allowed up to 3 miles off shore. The Coast Guard approved her to carry 49 passengers but we cap the tours at 40 to make sure everyone has room. She is equipped with twin 115HP outboards and we even installed jack plates on them to allow for shallow water boating so we can tour the shallow water estuary at any tide without disturbing the sea floor. The dolphins love her and often swim over to us when they see us coming!

Is the boat handicap accessible?

Yes, the gate opening is 31″ wide and can allow a standard wheelchair to roll onto the boat. There are 2 steps into the bathroom, and on the Shelling cruises there are 2 steps to get off the boat onto the island (or you can stay on board with the captain in the shade).
